Pro Path FC now trains at BASE Athletics in West Midtown, Atlanta. About BASE Athletics
BASE Athletics is an outdoor small-sided soccer facility in West Midtown, near Georgia Tech. Its turf arena is enclosed by walls, so the ball stays in play. There is no time wasted chasing balls out of bounds, and players can use the walls for passes, just like street soccer.
Why small-sided training works
In small-sided games, every player is involved in nearly every moment. Players get far more touches, more 1v1 duels, more shots, and more decisions per minute than in full-field play. Read Small-Sided Games: Why 4v4 and 5v5 Build Better Players.
What a session looks like
- Dynamic warm-up with the ball
- Technical focus: first touch, 1v1 attacking, passing under pressure, or finishing
- Opposed practice: the same skill against defenders
- Small-sided games where the skill decides the game
- Quick reflection on what players learned
Every session follows the principles in The Art of Soccer Training.
The four-week membership
Players register for four-week cycles. Groups are kept small so every player gets real coaching and feedback, and a waitlist opens when groups fill. Coaches may also invite players to a Pro Path select team that competes in local tournaments, with team costs shared separately and in advance.
What to bring
- Turf shoes or cleats suited to artificial turf
- Shin guards
- A size-appropriate ball
- Water
Every player needs a signed waiver, parent or guardian consent, and emergency and medical information before their first session.
Part of the bigger path
